Rent a room scheme - what qualifies?

    Hi all,

    Would appreciate answers to this as soon as possible as need to make a decision today!

    Does anyone know if the rent a room scheme applies if the landlord lives in the same property but it is a separate flat with it's own entrance, own utilities, etc? Basically it's a flat attached to the side of the landlord's house so is technically part of the same property.
