getting ducks

    i will be getting 25-30 duck in may/june from the cork federation of gun clubs and i was wondering what kind of pin do i need to make them and would it be best to put them in a wet field or where would be best they will be 6-7 weeks old when i get them.

    You need to put them on a propper pond or lake and feed them regular! Must be somewhere suitable in your area!

    What u need is a pen build over a slow flowing stream or clean drain make sure the mesh goes under the water and there is no way for the duckling's to get out and more impontant any thing to get in fox mink gray crow etc. and make sure they have plenty of dry ground to sit on . best would be one fifth water 4 fifth's water. Good luck with them.

    The nargc website has some info as to rearing ducks I think, if not try basc.co.uk
