Anyone actually get this? UPC wrote a while ago saying my monthly bill was going up but I would be moved from 50 to 120 on 1st March - no sign of it yet based on my own speed tests and the details under "My UPC"

My myupc entry did switch over on schedule, it may be worth chasing it up with them.

Mine seems to have changed, In name at least.

Does it sem right that Download speed would still be listed as 60 ?

    From MyUPC:
Subscription name: Fibre Power Broadband 120Mb .
    Download/Upload speed: 60 Download / 6 Upload

I noticed when I used the normal http://www.speedtest.net/ site, I wasn't seeing any improvement. Just in case it was too fast for that one, I tried upc's speed test http://speedtest.upc.ie/ and was showing at 120+

Make of that what you will.

Mine is the same. I got an upgrade from 50 to 120. I imagine it will just take a couple of days to correct itself because I am definitely getting full speeds. I wonder if all these upgrades are putting pressure on UPC' network and that's why people are getting slow speeds?

Turned off router for a few mins and got upgrade.

120+mb down and just over 9mb up. On UPC test.

Various results on speedtest.net 80mb ish down from both Dublin servers. 123mb from London.

I'm so jealous of all you with your 120Mb speeds! :(

When is your contract out? What is your buy-out fee?

There are ways and means . . .

Higher speeds won't matter if youtube decides to be slow to whole chunks of the world because of international data-infrastructure squabbling or the limitations of the site you are accessing. Or if flash decides it doesn't like the current update of Firefox and so on . . .

I'm with Sky and most of my neighbours either have 70/20 or 200/10 which sickens me because I'm stuck in contract until April. The neighbour who has 200/10 actually gets more than that and all....

There's something odd appeared on my 150Mb account on MyUPC too. It says ...

Subscription name: Fibre Power Broadband 200Mb
    Download/Upload speed: 150 Download / 10 Upload
Bundle name: Fibre Power 150 Anywhere 150

EDIT: Just rebooted my modem and I'm getting 200Mb !!! (Well 196Mb actually, but that's splitting hairs :))

The details on the MyUPC page haven't changed though.

With UPC for quite a while it'll be 5% roughly over the stated speed.

I was upped from 30 to 50 and for a while I was slightly under 50 consistently after being almost always 32.

It was nice when tests put me over 50. A bit more of a middle finger to Eircom and their theoretical max speeds being sold.

123mbit after reboot. I get 3-5mbit above headline speed 24/7/365 through a combination of 1 year old new UPC infrastructure in my area and bridged EPC3295 modem to expensive router.

    ...better update my sig...

SHUT UP. I hate you all, I'm stuck with mobile BB and on a good day I'm getting 3mbit down and 1 1/2 up:(
