I am looking for a bit of advice. I'm looking for bit of sunshine able to sunbathe and maybe a city r culture as well. Have been to oz Mexico Thailand Malaysia Dominican Republic Dubai and don't want to do Europe. Any ideas ? Done a bit of research and November seems a bad time weather wise

Have you thought about Southern Vietnam & Cambodia? This is a beautiful part of the world, with lovely people & culture, and lots of history.

It will be their dry season in November, so the weather will be around the 30 degrees mark. We are just back from 2 weeks there. Flew Etihad via Abu Dhabi to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) for €670. The connection times in Abu Dhabi were short, so we didn't have to spend hours hanging around airports. Plus it is 2 x 7.5 hour flights which is a lot easier than having one short flight followed by a long 13 hour one! We flew on a friday night and arrived back on a sunday, so had a full 14 days out there.

Our itinerary from there was Phnom Penh, Siem Reap (Angkor temples), back to Saigon, then a 3-day boat cruise on the Mekong River (with a company call Mekong Eyes). The boat cruise ended in Can Tho and we then flew to Phu Quoc Island. On Phu Quoc island we stayed in Mai House resort. These are lovely garden bungalows on the beach. I would totally recommend both these countries. To make the most of our time, all the internal travel between cities was flying. Some of the internal flights are very cheap, i.e. flights to & from Phu Quoc island were about €30 I think.

If I can offer any further info, just let me know.

Good luck with the wedding too!

    JT.

how about South Africa-Tanzania-Namibia region? a few days on Safari, a few days in the wine region, a few days on a beautiful beach somewhere. Great mix of chilling/adventure/sightseeing.

I was looking at South Africa but was worried it would be way out of our budget. We were looking at 5k for both of us. Im open to all ideas

Ok so I have narrowed it down to southern Vietnam or bali and a city maybe hong kong or Singapore. This is mainly due to having sunshine . Our plan is 3 weeks 1 and half beach and 1 and a half touring. any advise on a route to take in southern Vietnam ?
