I know a lot of people whinged about this a bit when DBs were first launched, but presumably most users are now accustomed to it.

Perfect timing then for DB to swap the brakes and put the rear on the left and front on the right

No doubt this is down to some dodgy solicitor's advice, but it's a very dangerous move as occasional users of the service won't expect this change. They are displaying the notice at the stations, but how many people actually read that?

From my point of view, they are changing it to the "wrong" layout because all of my bikes have the front brake on the left, but it makes very little odds to me.

I normally do a simple "brake test" before I set off on any bike proper. To see what kind of braking power the bike has.

Some of the Dublin Bikes have very weak brakes.

We will now have a period where some bikes are on one side and some are on the other until the change them all over. Now that could be dangerous.
