Sorry if this has already been covered but I've had a look through the stickys and I can't see anything on it.
I've been back working in Ireland from the UK since the beginning of December last year and have been on Emergency tax for all of 2014 so far. I don't have an Irish P45 (the UK one is gone for a £stg rebate now too), so how do I go about getting off the E codes?
The revenue website is (probably understandably) disgracefully difficult to find any information on.
    Thanks.

Also, would I be entitled to anything back for last year as I only worked one month of 2013 in Ireland? I'm not sure if there's a such thing as a tax free allowance any more as I was gone for 8 years.

Little bit of reading is in order. First link relates to emergency tax but rather than filling in a form 12a you can just call your local paye area in the appropriate 1890 number. Give them your pps, date started work, how often paid and your new employers paye registered number. A cert will issue to your employer to allow them to tax you correctly for 2014. If you have been overtaxed for 2014 your employer will refund you.

For 2013 see the link below.

For a general guide to the paye system, the link below will assist.
