Probably lookin for a pool to spawn. They'll be seen crossing roads, gardens etc for a pool to spawn in. That time of year again.

I know but even with the recent bad weather and rain there's plenty of fields holding small pools that a few frogs will spawn in.
I've seen spawn in 2 foot wide pools in ditches.

Frogs will attempt to reach pools and ponds to spawn.

Spawn in a flooded field is unlikely to succeed. You will at times come across spawn in a puddle of water but again it will come to nought.

I just logged in to boards to post about a frog in my garden and saw this. I'm going to sound like a total wuss but I'm freaked out. I live in a fairly built up residential area and my son saw it out by our front gate. Is this normal? What do I do - should I try to get someone to move it? I haven't seen it yet (afraid to go out) so I don't know where it's gone. Any advice please?

Just leave it! Nothing to worry about, it'll move in it's own time. If you have someone who's willing to pick it up and put it in a nearby pool or field then fair enough, but otherwise just leave it.

Thanks. There's no sign of now but we'll do that if it comes back :)
