Bought Galaxy s3. About to root it but all XDA tutorials mention Sprint, Verizon etc.

    So I'm a bit confused.

    I'm not a TOTAL noob as I did unlock, root and flash roms on my HTC desire. But there's just an overload of info on the S3 and it's all about verizon.

    So I have a Meteor locked S3.

    4.1.2

    By the way, I couldn't unlock it via the "hidden" menu. Is there a fix for this? How else can I unlock it if the hidden menu UMTS method is disabled on the phone?

    About rooting. If somebody could please refer to me to a guide for rooting a non American S3 I would be eternally greatful. Thanks.

    It's rooted and unlocked. I will now go to the toilet.
