    Hi I currently live in England and have probelems with trying to get my Irish passport I lost my old. I went to the police station today to get them to sign it as it says on the form and they would not do it I cant get threw to the embassy and haven't a clue I don't want to send it for them to return it sayin it was done properly

    1. Have you formally reported the loss of your passport to the police?
    2. The form lists those who may sign your photos/form and includes practising lawyer, bank manager, doctor, priest, school principal and others. I don't believe that the UK police will generally sign these (although they are on the list).
    3. The Consulate in London is generally helpful if you ring up.
