    Hi

I want to buy some equipment in a shop in Dublin and have come across the below. I'm looking to see if anyone has had good experience with the below and could recommend? or is there any other good camera shops around?

    Camera Centre
    Bermingham Cameras
    Conns Cameras
    John Gunns

    Thanks in advance!

I have bought in Berminghams and Gunns and was treated very well in both shops. Items bought were DSLR Cameras and Lens

I'm not a huge fan of Camera Centre, went in looking for a D7000 and wouldn't put a battery in it so you could see any of the displays, check autofocus etc. But you could look through the viewfinder…

Used Conns and Berminghams quite a lot. Both great shops with great service!

I got my nikon d7000 in the camera centre square tallaght. Joe could not have been more helpful. Threw in a few extras, upgraded the card and then gave me a €50 gift card. Hsve since bought lens and bag ,and tripod.

I'd go to Gunns. I find Conns overpriced and the staff can be very pushy and talk down to people.

Cheers for the replies. Im hoping to buy somewhere that I wont get screwed over on warranty. (had to go to the Small Claims Court with a shop I bought electronics from in the past, warranty over...blah, blah).

Its highly unlikely any of the listed shops would screw you on warranty! Although I've never had an issue with new or used gear from Conns or Berminghams!

If Gunns can supply what you want at a fair price, give them the business after you take the time to meet them. Lovely people is right, they always have been since the time I was bringing my Ilford XP and Delta 3200 to them for processing as a school kid right up to today. There are other good shops like Conns and even Birminghams when they feel like it, but only Gunns would make you feel like they do. Just lovely people, know their stuff and will treat you like family.
