Hi so I'm doing Arts and I was wondering what happens if you pass your exams but fail your assignments? I've failed 2 in the one subject so far and I only barely passed the exam for this subject! Can you repeat assignments or is it just exams? Also can you hand in assignments for semester one this late or is their a cut off point?

You need to go to the relevant lecturer quickly and plead for mercy.

he will properly let you do them before this semester is over or during the summer.

The only way you can repeat an assignment is if you fail the module and need to repeat the whole thing. Why should someone get two attempts at an assignment by resubmitting it? That would be unfair on the rest of the class.

You have to pass the continuous assessment component of your course, passing your exams isn't required as long as you get above 40% overall (or 35% if you're eligible for compensation). There's no opportunity to repeat assignments, but it's worth contacting your lecturer to see what they say. If you have a genuine reason then they may let you repeat an assignment. Don't leave it any longer.

Isn't there something about resubmitting coursework in August if you fail continuous assessment??
