    Hi OP,

That thread is quite old and I'm sure the original posters have not been following for a couple of years.

I've opened up a sparkly new thread for you.

I vaguely remember some of the questions I was asked last year. It lasted about 30-40 minutes i think?

The first few questions focused on the company itself so be prepared to answer the following:

    1. Why did you apply to Kerry Group?
    2. Why accounting/finance?
    3. What do you know about Kerry Group?
    4. What do you know about the flavors/ingredients industry?
    5. Where do you see potential growth or expansion opportunities for Kerry in the future?

Basically they were looking for good commerical awareness and the ability to show that you have an interest in their company/industry.

The second part of the interview kinda focused more about your own skill sets and experiences so be prepared to answer the standard competency questions such as leadership skills, time-management, dealing with awkward people etc etc.

That's all i can think of right now but i hope this helps,

    Best of luck!

Are they deciding what route you are taking? Or are you deciding yourself? ACCA / CIMA or Elevation (ACA) would be your options. Elevation seems to be the best way to do Chartered in business.

I was told by one of the interviewers that in general they allow the new graduates to choose what route to pursue whether its ACA / ACCA or CIMA.

What they don't want is everyone picking the same thing as that would mean all the new hires end up taking study leave at the exact same time which can cause the company problems.

That's what I was told anyway so don't take it as gospel! :)

But you know there's no study leave with the ACA / Elevation programme, right?

Thinking like a CAI student. :p

Pretty sure he means normal holidays (taken as study leave) or even study leave specific to Kerry Group.

If its specific to Kerry Group, then it doesn't matter what qualification it is, right? Or the amount, or when its taken - surely Kerry Group decide?

Exactly - as long as it's approved by Kerry Group. It's possible they'll take him on as an industry CAI and pay all his costs. Might be worth checking if they want to go down that route.
