    HI,
I need to get some South African Rand (~ €150 worth) by Friday, but i have not pre-ordered it. BOI say that it has to be pre-ordered (five days notice), so that won't work.
They also say that i can get it at the airport, but i think that the airport Bureau de Change tends to be very expensive/poor value.

Does anybody have any idea where i could get rand at short notice?
    Thanks

    Where are you located?

Have you tried the currency exchange stores in Dublin city centre? The commission rates are really low (compared to airport).

EDIT: Google found this for example
    http://www.fexcocurrency.com

    EDIT 2:
Also, if you're travelling to South Africa, consider taking euro there and then exchanging it, not at the airport but in your destination town, where the rates should be relatively good too.

    Thanks.
Have it booked at Fexco on Westmoreland St, and a better rate than BoI!
