Car ownership

Hi, I'm new to this site and in a bit of a pickle at the moment. We sold our old car for peanuts before Christmas and the mistake that we made was that we gave the registration cert to these dodgy buyers. Dumb, we know. I do not have their details anymore, no way of contacting them. The thing is that I got a letter recently from eflow saying that I need to pay the toll. This had happened after we sold the car. I explained the situation to them and they suspended the account. Today I got a letter again saying that I am still the owner of the car and I should pay the fine. What can be done? Help is much appreciated, thanks.

Unfortunately this is a classic mistake, giving the logbook to a buyer that then doesn't bother changing ownership.
You can get a replacement from Shannon but if you have no details of the buyer you can't transfer the car..

Ring Shannon and explain the situation to them and see what they say. Good luck!

Have you got any proof that you actually sold the car?

RIng shannon they will send you a form saying you have no claim to the car.
Sign it and send it back and your sorted.
