I'm hoping I might get done advice from those in here. Regular poster but going anonymous on this one.

I'm on disability allowance and in receipt of rent allowance and get the household benefits package. My boyfriend and I are now trying to move in together ( him move in with me), he is out of work at the minute and getting job seekers. My question is if we move in together will I lose some of my benefits? I'm getting conflicting advice on this from citizen info etc and don't know where to ask now!

    I'd appreciate any advice.

Your rent will have to be reassessed and means tested expect to loose around €60 from your rent ,
It may be an option for him to become a qualified dependant on your claim ,he would only get €124 .80 pw on top of your €188 ,
You probably won't loose as much rent that way

Your will lose the household benefits package,as all members of the house hold must qualify for this payment.

if he moves in with you, he should drop his JSA claim if he has one, and become your dependent.
If he has no other means your combined income will be €312 and you will keep your household benefits package.
You should discuss your rent supplement situation with the CWO. Your conribution towards your rent will now be at least €35. You must tell the CWO about this change in your circumstances.
I dont know the extent of your disability but he could look into applying for Carers allowace for you.
