I'll be going on a stag in a few months time.

Do ye know of any pubs in Drogheda that serve Belgian beer ?
The likes of Leffe or Duvel ?
Well any Belgian beers, particularly trappist abbey beers...

I'd imagine I'd be lucky if they have bottles and not really expecting them on draught.

    cheers,
    CD

    Okay found one :-)

WM Cairnes & Son In Scotch Hall

Their drinks menu pdf says Leffe Blone and Duvel.

Cheers, I'll put McPhails on the list too.

It'll probably be a bit of a mini pub crawl in fairness but if I can find a couple of oasis of quality beer it'll help !

    You could try Clarkes also.

They usually have a half decent selection of bottled beers.

    Cheers will do.

I tried looking at their website, but it must have been hacked/hijacked, because it has nothing but Chinese content on it !

Eveything about Clarkes is 19th Century, in a good way!!

It's small so not sure how suitable it would be for a stag party but it's a good spot and the Guinness is good if they haven't got a Belgian beer.

I like craft beers myself and Cairnes have a really good selection and usually have 3 beers on draft as well as a good bottled selection.

Be warned if you go looking for Mc Phail's you wont find it. It says Peter Matthews above the door!

You could also try McHughs on the Chord Road under Laurence's Gate.

Indeed Caires have a few (4 Duvel`s and ur legless!)
Bru have some belgian beers on tap Leffe and Hoogarden I think...
however Clarkes is probably the best pub in town (in my humble simple opinion)

Also the local O`Briens does a great selection of Trappist beers, Chimey and Westmalle for the win! oh and Kwak! (Blue and Dubble for the win!)

    Jaysus... 8.6% !
I'm well used to Leffe Blonde at 6.6%
Although I tend not to have more than 4 of them in quick succession.
