Two planes making alot of noise... sounded like diving, over south Laois today, Tuesday 4th March between 4pm and 5pm. Who or what were they? I figured the names from Flightradar24 App on my phone but I could be wrong.

They have been over Portlaoise and other parts of the Midlands for the last week training.
Also the Learjet was out on at least one occasion

Military Operating Area 4 covers Portlaoise.

There's an EU meeting in Dublin today. Most probably they were practising their air cover procedures for that. There were similar exercises for both the Queen's visit and for Obama.

They tend to use to Panther call signs for operational tasks.

Is that why I spotted an Armenian jet touching down in DUB a few minutes ago?

    This too shall pass.

Possibly the same two planes were over NW Donegal after midinght 7\3.
Loud and lowish about ten minutes apart.
