Mtgox.com lost all its bitcoins lately and on top of that they are rumors that hackers have also got all uploaded documents which means they have document with my address on it and also a scan of my passport, i have no idea what i have to contact about this and who to report it to, might be a stupid question.

I know exactly what they are. I'd suggest printing that out and giving it the guard.

a right i will do that so, just worried what they can do with identity, bad enough the bitcoins are gone.

Naff all they can or will do. You might have grounds to cancel the passport. Only other thing to do is perhaps close any effected bank accounts.

I'm finding all this a tad ironic given the anonymous nature of the currency.

there was no connected bank accounts to mtgox so should be fine that way. Dident want to trust a exchange with my personal documents but it was the only way to try and get coins out of them.

In all honesty there is very little they can likely do with your info thanks to Ireland still being in the bronze age in relation to online credit etc. I wouldn't lose too much sleep.

Fecking hell didn't realise they were still trading at over €400, tempted to put my 7990 to work. How many did you have OP?

I lost one when they were worth about €15, then they went to over €1000 - gutted!

    Fook, you weren't mining?

Think of that poor basterd that threw away a HDD with £4.3m of them on. I'd have swam through sh!te down at the tip until I found it.

no i never mined them, i saw one lad lost 4700 coins in mtgox. I dident lose to much so its not to bad, i dont think i ever get over it if i had 1000s of them mined and then lost them. Still no idea what really happned to mtgox cracking!!!

its very risky like when there gone you never recover them ever, i got interested in dogecoin at the moment its fairly cool, i cant risk getting caught up in bitcoins again.
