    I think it's the band "blacktye" afaik black tie suits went into liquidation last year. I've modified the thread title so it's clearer.

    Personally I went to see them didnt think they were great.

    Music was average and far too loud and distoring as a result. I also found them awful from a communication perspective. Two weeks to get an email reply 3 weeks to return a voicemail.

    When/where did you see them?

    I DJ'd a wedding after them last year and thought they where fab. Had the floor full which made my job easier!

    Im not sure why when or where I saw them has any relevence. Seems your insinuating Ive made up my review ??

    I saw them upstairs in a pub somewhere in Lucan where they were doing a showcase about 2 years ago sorry I cant recall the name of the bar Im not form the area and travelled specifically to see them.

    Not that when or where I saw them has any relvence at all.

    Wow...relax there will ya. I've seen them once and I thought there where great. There is a number of reasons I asked, different line up, pub vs wedding gig and just a general interest. Not calling you a liar by any means. Chill out.

    Had them as our wedding band a few weeks ago, could not recommend them higher. As soon as they got on stage they kept the place going, the cliched "they kept the dancefloor filled" quote is quite apt for them, by and large there was always a nice crowd out. They interacted with the crowd a bit, but not in a cringey way, eeveryone seemed to enjoy it.

    even though I only informed them of our first dance songs 5 days before (indecision is a killer), they still played it live rather than from cd - even though it wasn't on their set list on website (they may have already known the song, played it a while ago - but still given the small amount of time given I was very impressed).

    All in all 5 Stars
