Voice command to return to home screen

Ok so I am using Google Now and voice commands a good bit especially if I am driving.
I use CarHome Ultra as my app when driving so the phone kicks in to Car Mode once it detects I am driving. I can say 'open Waze app' for example when I want to check traffic and use sat navigation but if I want to return to the home screen I don't know the correct voice commands for this.
I have tried 'open launcher app' 'open home app' and lots of other commands but none work.

Anyone have any ideas what commands should work to return me to my home screen?

I don't think there is a way to be honest. Once you enter an app nothing is listening for voice commands.

I have OpenMic+ installed so it is set up to listen away in the background when the phone is docked and in Car Mode

It would be great if I could just say 'okay Google open home' or something like that
