UPC EPG stability

There seems to be issues surrounding epg stability on the UPC dvr's.

The folks have a silver dvr and the grand folks have the Thomson DCI6221 dvr, both keep reverting back to the 100 info channel when trying to scroll through the channels or when calling up the guide - its pretty frustrating.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Does this happen on the horizon box?

Should upc have a search and destroy on these units?

There is a known issue on the Mediabox platform whereby if you misdial a channel number or don't dial it quickly enough the channel changes to channel 100. Its annoying but apparently deliberate. UPC's attention is now on Horizon so I'm not sure whether the Mediabox EPG will be getting any improvements in future - they sent me a flyer in the last bill looking for us to change to Horizon.

I have the horizon box and it defaults to channel 100 in the same way when typing in a channel number. Funny how they managed to retain this irritation when they weren't able to replicate the blue button shortcut to delete a recording etc.

That won't help in this case - its quite clearly a "feature" rather than a bug....

I have a Horizon box and UPC are downgrading it to an earlier type box as it is unrelaible in recording using series link.

What functionality if any will I use and will it be HD.

Is there a problem with the EPG at present?????
I can't set recordings on Ch4, it tells me "Redording Failure, this program can't be recorded because it is already redcorded".
But thats total BS, I don't have it recoeded!!!!

This box is riddles with bugs.
yesteday it failed to record any preset programs!!!!

Does anyone else have these issues or is my box just a bad one????

That happens when you hold down the record button so you are sending repeated commands to the box to record the program at lightning speed.

Na, I've reset the box and the same happens.

I also notice the EPM is full of "unavailable program data"
