cant cancel sky as password forgotten??

    I have just spoken to a friend who cant cancel sky as they cant remember the password they were allocated about 10 years ago. They are given 2 guesses and then told sorry without password cant cancel!!!

    Is this possible? Its usally the scottish office they get when they ring and they are a bit hesitant on the phone.

    I find it a bit off putting and would like to help them and they are elderly.

    any way round this?

    Write a letter to sky informing them of the 1 months notice to cancel the subscription and include the name address and account number along with the viewing card number. Send sky an email stating the same and include the name address and account number along with the viewing card number, And finally just cancel the direct debit.

    cut the payment method off - that tends to work very effectively....
