Just picked this up online as a gift for the wife. I'd actually purchased it the week before, and it then dropped £29.96! Then I remembered reading about amazons policy on refunds if price drops with 7 days of receipt of a product.

I live chatted them, and they advised me that as it was only being fulfilled by them, they couldn't give me a refund on the difference. But if I returned the "old" one I could order the new one at the reduced price. They gave me a up-front refund on the stuff I'd bought at the original price. I'll give the Mrs the one that's currently wrapped on my desk. When the new cheaper one arrives, I take it out of the amazon box and stick it into another amazon box, and send it back.

Sounds convoluted, but I'll save £30 (36 ish euro)

    Getting it for €71.01 delivered.

It seems that price is 54.99 GBP - maybe it was pricing mistake.

My 10 year old loves this (I know its bit gory in places but doesn't seem to bother her!) Would have bitten their hand off for 30 sterling, never mind.

I did a fair bit of searching online beforehand, and checked locally.

I think the confusion here is that it dropped £29.96.....not dropped TO £29.96.

Yeah, £54.99 is still a very good price, would have probably bought it at that but have the first 5 series on DVD already.
