    Hi,
Just wondering has anyone been in this situation.
I am finishing college in May and have been in reciept of BTEA. I had a baby last October and with help from my college and mother have been able to finish my course. What I would like to know is if im entitled to one parent and when can I apply etc. I have contacted my local welfare office but am waiting for them to reply.

You can apply for one parent family straight away.

even though I am in reciept of BTEA?
Does it matter that my baby is 5mths?
    Will it be backdated?

You will just be changed from jsa/btea to OFP. It doesnt matter that your baby is 5months.
