I was looking at a decent deal on a Powertap G3 Wheelset only the Freehub is Campy 10 speed. As far as I can gather swapping this for a Shimano 10 speed Freehub is easy enough. Can anyone kindly confirm please.

10 minute job. You'll need a campy chsinwhip and a p wrench plus a 17mm spanner to hold the nut on the other side.

    Freehubs are pricey though.

No, you've got to use a Powertap freehub on a Powertap hub, not a freehub made by Shimano. This is the one that you need. I bought the same thing for my Powertap SL+ from Evans Cycles a few months back as it was cheaper there at the time, it still is cheaper now, but only marginally. It is both 10 and 11 speed compatible, it works fine on my wife's 10 speed bike. I believe the same freehub works on the G3 as well as the SL+.

Swapping the freehubs is easy, in the case of the SL+ you just literally pull off the freehub by hand, but for the G3 apparently they've made the drive side end cap a tighter fit so you might need to use a vice.

Ok so looking into this a bit further, I assume I require the Powertap specific Freehub retail @ €90

Presume I use a 10 speed Shimano Cassette with an 11 speed freehub?
