dvd reigon question

    want to send moone boy first series to new zealand to family, was wondering if one bought here will play there in their dvd reigon. hopethis makes sense:rolleyes:

    Assuming it's a DVD and not a Blu-Ray, can you see region code '2' mentioned on the box? A lot of programs made for TV don't bother with region encoding.

    when buying if i see code 2 what does this mean?

    DVD region code 2 means Europe so it will not (officially) work in NZ which is region 4.

    Although the article does highlight under New Zealand and Australian law region locking players maybe illegal under their laws. Its also relatively easy to place a DVD player into factory mode ( no region )
