How long do you recommend allowing for study time? I can get an appointment either next weekend or 3 weeks from now and trying to decided what to go for. I haven't studied up until now but tried a few tests online and averaging about 32 from the 3 or 4 I took

I first looked at the questions the morning of the test. Didn't manage to finish them all. Give yourself a few days I'd say. It's pretty easy if you have a little common sense. One that caught me in the test was something along the lines of: "If your front left tire blows out does the car swerve left or right?"

I would recommend you study until you know the answers.
Useful site for mock tests and correct link to book you test here.

Don't worry Robocode. Theory test is not difficult, but you know the basic rules of driving and learn only 1 or 2 hour in a day, and you pass your theory test.

I removed a link to a non-standard theory test booking website.

Only book the Irish theory test through the official RSA website - other websites may charge unnecessary booking fees, or may be false.

€45 is a lot of money to spend and then fail, only to have to spend another €45 resitting it.

Study until you are regularly passing the test. Most of the questions are common sense but some are tricky and there can also be questions which are pretty similar but changing one word alters the meaning of the question. Read all questions carefully. Read the answers carefully and eliminate the answers you know are clearly wrong.

    Good luck
