New iMac - mouse unresponsive

    Hi all,

    I have just made the ginormous leap from PC/Vista to iMac/Maverick and it's working like a dream.
    Only issue I have is with the mouse (wired) which is a bit slow & feels awkward navigating especially as I need to use the 'ctrl' key to 'right click'.

    Just wondering if anyone can recommend a more intuitive alternative?

    Try changing the preferences for the mouse in Apple Menu -> system preferences -> Mouse

    Here, you will be able to speed up tracking and also enable secondary click.

    Secondary click is also the same as right click & that will save you holding down Ctrl + clicking.

    I had set the mouse to track faster but didn't realise the secondary button would allow 'right click'.

    Now I can access all the hidden tools in Photoshop faster.

    So happy now:):)

    There's also a great app called Better Touch Tool that allows all kinds of gestures.
