Is there a licence needed for trout fishing in the river in bennetsbridge in Kilkenny. I go to work down there for 1 week out of every month and was wondering what the restrictions are if any. Thanks

Yes as far as I know it is all either private ownership or clubs.

You're best bet is to ask locally.

there is a club, the permits can be got in the centra there and there fairly cheap a fiver I think
