Hi guys, a friend moved his existing landline number to a new premises.
We need to identify which cable pair is carrying the connection.
The attached pic will illustrate what I mean.
Is there an easy way of Doing this without getting Eircom out?

    Cheers

    Kbell

I believe one of the cheapo 'volt stick' detectors will work if the line is ringing.
    also stud/cable finders may work.

Strip back the outer sheath, so you have about 3 inches of each wire to work with.
