If anyone is familiar with the area, I land back on Thursday evening, probably getting to Red car pk about 7pm.
Ideally I'll have gear in the car get changed and head off for a run, if I actually get in the car and start driving there's a good chance I'll just keep going.
What's it like for running around there or should I just hop in the car and head towards Santry or somewhere close?

What distance are you looking for BB and I'll hook you up!
    6.5km, 7.4km, 11.9km or longer?

I'd recommend driving to gulliver's Retail Park just off the M50 on the Ballymun exit (this is beside my gaff).
From there you have a choice of these routes:
11.9km A nice figure of 8 loop where it's easy to manage traffic junctions so that you are never really slowed to a stop. Ballymun, Collins Ave, Griffith Ave and Santry.
17.2km You could go to Sutton instead and run the Coastal path which is well lit, perfectly flat and only has two road crossings. (I'm sure you are more than familiar with this though.)
25.6km A combination of both routes. Ballymun, Griffith Ave, Coastal path, Kilbarrack/Tonlegee/Oscar Traynor Road. A nice long one if the above are too short.

Personally I'd probably stay away from the Airport itself as it's a bit random with paths for running on. Hopefully one of these will suit!

Cheers, good options there, might drive up and park near Northwood.
