Hi burstbuckle. If you don't have an actual answer/help for the OP, please refrain from replying at all.

Sorry, I have to correct myself after googling.

    致 : To
行圃友: the friend who is visiting the garden with me
清: at Qing dynasty, people used like to write the Chinese dynasty before a date or a name to memorize.
丁未: year of 1967, it is the sexagenary cycle way of counting years. There are 60 years in each cycle and the 47th is called year of 丁未. One way to calculate it is 1967 divided by 60 has a remainder 47.
仲月(日): it is the February in Chinese calendar. (I am not very sure the correct way to break 仲月日佳节.)
(日)佳节: It is a special date, not sure why it is special.
    代笔: written by

So, one day at February of 1967, someone wrote this scripts on a teapot to appreciate his friend who went to the garden with him/her, and more or less this teapot is given to this friend as a gift.

    Hope this can help.
