HELP!! Water coming up through tiled floor in downstairs bathroom

    Hi folks,

Any thoughts on the above? Started last night and can't get a plumber to come out until tomorrow to look at it. It's pretty consistent and doesn't seem to be a leak in the toilet itself as the water is just appearing away from the toilet itself or anything like that. I checked all the outside drains and they're all clear so kinda clueless as to why this is happening.

The only change to any of the waterworks in the area in recent times was the water meter was installed outside my house about 3 weeks ago - is this likely to have had any effect internally?

Any help/guidance greatly appreciated! As you can probably tell I'm clueless about these things!

Get the water turned off at the stopcock at the meter and if it stops the leak its prob a leak on the mains water coming into the house. If your tank in the attic is refilling all the time its a leak in the hot or cold water and if the heating pressure has dropped at the boiler its a leak in the heating pipes. If all the above dont work then its prob sewer leak

It could be a pipe in the wall that has started to leak and the water is then flowing down the wall and then under the floor tiles and then pooling at the lowest point and appearing in the middle of the floor.
