Will a triax tri link kit power up a Global F140 amplifier or would you need a power supply for the F140

    Thanks

You will need a 1amp psu unit for the F140 Amplifier

Tri-Link should be capable of powering an F140, yes. Claims output from RF2 is 9 VDC, 1000 mA. (From 12 VDC, 500 mA power supply.)

I have tried it and it proved problematic put in a psu and problem solved.

It should be capable, but i've had cases where unless the unit is within a few meters of the tri link, then a psu was needed.
Also i've noticed picture quality degradation and intermittent remote response where an amp is used without a psu.

I also would recommend a PSU as i have come across a delay in remote response a few times.
