Would be possible to have a sticky for the frequently used resources on this forum things like:
    • links to proper behaviourist
    • link to the dog body language pages -I'm thinking especially of the one regarding children
    • link to a good thread on toilet training
    • information regarding alpha theory and why it's nonsense

It's possible that you really don't want another sticky but it think it would be nice to have the information on the frequently asked things together.

    Hi all,
We're not allowed have any more stickies :o
We already have too many and occasionally get told off for it :o
However, if you can dig out threads that you think are worthy of being easily accessed, send them to me or one of t'other mods and we'll link to them in the charter thread which includes popular threads. That particular thread will hopefully be going through an overhaul fairly soon, so we can re-structure it to make those interesting links more obvious.
Thanks for the suggestion, it's a good 'un :)

I'll try dig around during the week.

From memory there having been some create threads on toilet training.
Also the one that sticks in my head where the OP posted about her child being bitten and there was lots of information on and links to graphics on dog body language.

    Hi Sillysmiles,
I have copied those links into the charter thread:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056146511

They are a little bit buried in there, as are other interesting bits and pieces, but as I said above, we're hoping to re-jig things a bit to make the information more accessible and clear to people who come here looking for help. Perhaps there's something to be said for having a dog and cat (and other species?) behaviour thread which has links and interesting stuff relating to the more common behaviour and training threads that pop up again and again?
*can't help but think I'm making work for myself here :o*

I'm a mod on the pro wrestling forum. What we did to cut down on the number of stickies was have a "hot links" sticky thread which basically has a link to all the frequently used threads. It's a handy resource.

That's exactly the sort of thing I had in mind, good to know it works! Thanks Gimmick :)
