Review my Rig + Potential Problems

Building a new rig, the first in many years. Actually, my brother-in-law will be doing the actual building, because he is a high level computer wizard, but I'll be choosing the parts.

Anyhow, I have a number of unique challenges with this build:
    1) It's being built in Korea, where many parts are more expensive, also, language barrier.
    2) I have a budget of 750,000won or about $750CAN for the case and everything in it, not including the GPU.
    3) Everything must be compatable with my shiny new Gigabyte GTX 760 Windforce 2GB GDDR5 OC Guru II video card.

So, I'm basically wondering if there are any compatability issues between the following parts:

Part........ Price on Danawa ("cheap" Korean tech site)

    i5 4670K........ 235 000
    212 Evo........ 32 000

    GIGABYTE 287X-UD3H........ 214 000
    or
    ASRock287 Extreme4........ 180 000

    8GB RAM DDR3........ ~90 000

    Seasonic S12II-620........ 105 000
    or
    Seasonic S12II-520........ 83 000

    1TB HDD........ 58 000
    or
    500GB HDD........ 49 000

    case - ?....... ~50 000 (goal)

Dual OS - Linux Mint 16 "Petra" Cinnamon for safe browsing, etc.
    Windows 7 - Games

Monitor will be bought later, likely something in the 21.5-24" 1920x1080 range.

System is for games (Bioshock Infinite in 1080p@60fps is my goal) & general use (music, video, internet, light photo editing, making powerpoints).

Would either one of those Seasonic PSU's be enough for the 760? I read somewhere that the manufacturer recommends a minimum of 500Watts & 30Amps, & I'm not certain the Seasonics meet that Amp requirement.

You could go for Pro3 if you have no plans on adding a second card down the line. If you did you would have to bump up the power supply.

520 watt would be fine for the gtx 760 but I'd be inclined to go for the 620 watt as some newer cards like the R9 290 are very power hungry if you decided to upgrade down the line.

I'd look at getting an SSD into the build as well for your operating system and main programs and one of two of your favorite online games.

    Thanks for the response.

What would be the advantage of a Pro3? Just a cheaper mobo? My brother-in-law seemed to think the mobo's I listed were of too high a level.

Oh, I fully intend to get a SSD in a few months, since I am in the land of Samsung and all...it just doesn't fit the (wife's forced) budget right now.

Whatever HDD I get now will just be a placeholder, I have a 500GB portable HD anyway. If I could buy smaller than 500GB for now, I would.

Yea just a cheaper motherboard with no support of adding a second card down the line in crossfire/SLI. Again if you wanted this you would have to bump up the power supply as well to be able to handle the two cards.

I'm not sure of the prices over there but a 128GB ssd is around 60 here and a 1000GB standard hard drive is less than 50

Get the cheaper 530w PSU (I'm assuming it is cheaper) it will well handle that graphics card. And handle the bigger cards of the future

So as stated drop the z87 motherboard to a pro h87. Save yourself some g's Or y's.

Did some research with my brother-in-law last night and am now leaning towards an ASRock Z87 Extreme3 mobo. It's nearly the same price as the pro3.

The one thing that is cheaper here are the power supplies. Found a Korean-made, Silver-rated 600W PSU for under $60, which is actually better than the Seasonic's I was considering.

SSD, like most other parts here, are way over-priced. They run about $1 per GB. So that will have to wait.
