Have a passport for 12yo mare, has she a registered name?

    I have a Irish Horse Register passport for my mare that I bought last year. It does not have a registered name for her on it. How do I find if she has one? Checked the site but nothing jumping out at me, maybe I'm missing something?
    Can I name her at her at 12? How do I do it?

    Its unlikely that she was ever named if there is none on the passport.

    Was it issued to her as a foal? That will give you an idea.
    To name your horse and receive its adult passport complete the ‘Naming’ form and return it with the animal’s foal passport and the appropriate fee (detailed below) to HSI. If the horse’s markings differ from the foal passport, your vet will need to complete a new marking chart and return it with the above items.

    I re named my horse back in 2008 he was registered as a foal with a name no one could pronounce i re named him with a fee of course
    No problems at all.
