I just wanted to order from say, micks garage, I need to seek advice on what im looking for exactly!
I want to simply replace my main headlamp bulbs for two others-

And the fog lights so I just remove the ones that came with the car the new-

I think the bulbs are the same wattage but at the same time emit a brighter light-

I see ones with a slighg blue " ring" around tbe bulb looks cool ! Basically works like the factory bulb but a bit more "jazzier"

As regards the fogs I would just like to remove the bulbs that are there and replace with - maybe* led*type-

Any advice on what im looking for and where to buy

Go onto micks garage and order osram nightbreaker plus. There 55w too and for less than 20 quids you will not get better halogens that emit more light. There a serious bulb.

LEDs in your fogs might be blinding. Id just go nightbreakers for them too.

You can whip out the fogs amd put night breakers in can ? No issues re fuse ratings etc?!

    Thanks

No problem. Just check the bulb type in the owners manual and they are a straight swap.

    Should be H something.

The nightbreakers are not about being cool or not or whatever. There about providing a maximum amount of light from a legal 55w bulb. The extra light means you can see more and ultimately make the car safer I assume that's what the op is after more so than what they look like.

If you have a problem with my post report it and let the mods deal with it which they did. It was a light bit of banter!

Don't spam me with private mails and then run off telling the teacher. Do you want your thread back on topic or not?

Ah come on, there is a certain irony in a duster owner coming on here saying they are changing bulbs for aesthetics reasons given the usual arguments put forward by duster owners.

Out of courtesy I sent you a short pm to say I was reporting you for a breach of boards in my view- I am just a reasonable courteous person- spam? No further contact from me to you-

Just to say if you have norhing useful to say - as is apparent - why bother annoying people who use the boards in the way they were designed to be used

Take it easy. Only a bit of banter. You did mention "cool" and "jazzier" in your op. Dacia have a rep of not being exactly cool. You get whatever add ons you like. Leopard skin seat covers perhaps?

Do you drive around with fog lights on to look cool even when it's not foggy? Is that why you want to upgrade them?

You deserve the abuse youre getting.

Fog lights are meant to be functional, for when, you know, its foggy. Not for looking "jazzy" in your cheapo-mobile

I find the amount of sheer hate Dusters attract amusing.
Just the thought that driving a certain car would annoy some people is almost enough reason for me to buy one.
Anyone knows that that kind of sneering, childish attitude towards other cars should be reserved for Nissan Tiidas.
Anyway, you are all missing the point of the Duster.
Cool in a car has nothing to do with the amount of money you spend on it.
    I quite like them.
They remind me of a Lada Niva:

    JHSingh_Braz_91LadaNiv_1RR.jpg

No nonsense, no bling, no tinsel, no bullsh*t and no fluffy toys, just a car and nothing else.
Maybe some guys feel less manly if they don't have heated seats, sat nav and bluetooth.
Or they're worried they're going to ruin their manicure if they have to manually operate a window.
Too many 14 year old trolls come into this forum these days from after hours.

I think the Duster is a nice enough looking piece of kit. I much prefer the black version of it (and least prefer the white) but it's not terrible looking by any stretch.

If the biggest insult someone can give it is that it's cheap.. well.. hey I'd take that! It's more like a compliment.

From what I can see, Dacia are a pretty decent brand in that they're not falling apart all over the place. They have a solid warranty period and they are brand new at very affordable prices. This seems to irk a lot of people, as a lot of people will have to drive much older cars, or pay a much higher premium, to get the same from most other brands.

Personally,I like SUVs/Jeeps in general. They'd be my favourite 'category' of car. A nice Hilux would catch my eye before a Porsche, for example. So I've been interested in the Duster and curious to see how it gets on.

The ugliest part of the Duster is that ridiculously oversized name bar on the back that says "Duster". Out from that it's a grand looking machine, in my opinion. Sure haven't Nissan pretty much copied it identically for a new model of car they're bringing out? (Terrano, I think).

OP, I wouldn't waste your time acknowledging the silly comments above.

Only having a laugh? That's what I was doing, a bit of banter as I said. Because you couldn't take it I have now got a warning.

I am far from a 14 yo troll thanks very much. If I had the inclination to spend 17k on a car I think a dacia would be so far down the list I would need binoculars to see it. But hey, I am sure it suits your personality

    Enjoy!

The blue tint from the lights was probably xenon headlights. If you really wanted to draw a whole load of ball ache on yourself you could see if there was an option in Europe for them and try a retrofit.

Your balls will ache thought a lot.

Very rugged looking jeep, I like the 4x4 version, can't believe the price. From reviews on the net they come off very well, what is it that people seem to find wrong with them? Are there known faults? I'd definitely pay the extra for the 7 year warranty.

Nissan are owned by renault who also own dacia so its probably the same car rebadged.

Dont close this thread, it is like all the best comedies, unintentionally hilarious.

The image of the OP in his tan brown Duster watching it rain outside is for some reason reminding me of a Father Ted Episode.

Oh and by the way I drive a Skoda Yeti, but my response to people who slag it is that stupid pop song that was out ......I DONT CARE.....I LOVE IT.......

This thread is an utter disgrace, the chap can own whatever he wants and he can do what he wants with it.
If you can help him with his requests then do so. If you can't then stay out of the thread.

To the op, I run led fogs in my e60 and they are no more dazzling than the standard bulbs (which aren't dazzling at all). Find out what type they are (HB4 Etc). You'll probably have to get them online as I couldn't find them anywhere.

I also second the nightbreakers, have a look back at the something I did today thread and you'll see a little review I done on them. Fantastic for the money, lights are stronger and much more focused. The light emitted is whiter and easier on the eyes and the beam reaches far further.

Best of luck with the car and don't let this thread put you off boards motors, for the most part we're a good crowd. But there's always a few.

Did you read the thread or was it straight up on your horse?

Op posts a question in a quiet frankly strange manner. Myself and another poster tried to add banter then got warned fair enough, I leave the thread but the OP Continues to cause trouble and sounds like a spoilt child which includes spamming my pm

OP is the one who has continually dragged the thread off topic with his childish posting style and is getting away with it

Ah thks I have copied and pasted your reply and will do as you advise I will not bother with this thread again- I agree 100 per cent-
I cant really understand why a ban is not issued- you have one person in particular interjecting with nothing useful to add - I understand a warning was given it makes the boards look very amatuerish when this silliness is not dealt with immediately- otherwise I find it a really useful tool
