Looking for a fan controller recommendation for 9 fans. 8 of them could be run in pairs. Have 2 x 120mm intake fans, 2 x 120mm on the hdd cage, 1 x 140mm on the rear exhaust and 2 x 120mm fans on each side roof mounted rad (so 4 on the rad in total)
Preferably something with a visual display of the rpm and the option of red led would be nice.

I'm running this one since October:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aerocool-X-Vision-LCD-inch-Controller/dp/B004YINZQU/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

It has five separate speed controls with rpm and temperature display for each. I have pairs of fans running on some of the controls so it should be able to handle 9 fans (4 pairs and 1 solo). The price on Amazon seems to have gone up a bit since I got mine. Also, the first one I got had a defective control. Amazon replaced it for me without any hassle.

    This, with some Y-splitters, perhaps?

Cheers for the replies. After some reading anything by aerocool doesn't seem to get great reviews.
The nzxt would be nice if it was touch with a display that size.
The bitfenix recon seems to get good reviews and the lamptron fc5 v3 but can't seem to find one which is a nice simple design with led options and info display

Would have bought that if it were Bay mounted. The rear card would ruin the cable management in my lovely windowed case. Appreciate the reply though. Have the haf xm, can't even see the cables from the power supply thanks to the simple yet lovely shroud

Hmm, I actually was going to go with nzxt at one point but I saw a lot of negative reviews. Guess it depends which sites you look at. All I can say is the aerocool unit does exactly what it's supposed to, no problems whatsoever. There's a couple of things which I learned:

    1. A lot of these units (including the aerocool) have temperature sensors. That doesn't mean that you get theromstatic control (raising/lower fan speed based on temperature). It just means you can see temperature levels wherever you stuck the monitors in the case and you can set an alarm level for each temperature sensor. I thought I wanted thermostatic control initially but it's probably not a good idea. It's a lot more fiddly and prone to go wrong, and it's going so be more annoying with the fans ramping up and down.

    2. All of these (except lamptron) have pretty cheap-looking vrms to control the fan voltages. They're not spec'd for much power, but fortunately typical case fans don't use much power either.
