hi guys,i left work this time last year,i took a year off to do a course.
anyways my old boss sent me out my p45..
its just printed off on a plain piece of cheap paper..
all the details are correct and everything seems to be on there.
im starting a new job next week,is this ok to give to them??
i thought it would be more of a professional thing with a revenue stamp and all on it??no??

    thanks for any help.

    Should be "official looking".

k it doesnt look anything like that lol
its just all the details printed off onto a page.
there is no certificate number or anything on it!!?
where will i go to recieve the one like above?does my old boss have it or...??
will just the details do for my new employer?

If the p45 is from last year you don't need to give your new employer the P45 - we're in a new tax year so the tax you paid last year is irrelevant to your employer. Call revenue with your PPS number and the employers number and ask for your credits and rate band M&S to be assigned to employer - they'll issue a tax credit cert to you and to employer.

Also if you haven't already done so it could be worth your while asking for a balancing statement for last year to reclaim any tax you overpaid

Thats fine. The plain paper p45 printed off the ROS website is the standard.

A ''statement of earnings '' on plain paper is the same as P45

Fancy paper don't mean anything ..... Its the info within
