Sound Only Playing Through Left Earphone

I'm having a problem with my iPod today. When I play music on it, the sound only comes through the left earphone and I can't hear anything in the right. I've tried different earphones and I've reset the iPod too but it hasn't made any difference. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this or what I could do to fix it?
