natural stone sealant

    Hi,

    I built a Stone house (Gold Quartzite Stone) and am looking to get some sort of water sealant to spray/paint onto it...

    Can anyone recommend??

    I have heard of a few types, but you need to be careful. Some are not much good. Some of the good ones don't affect the appearance of the stone at all. I wouldn't recommend the ones you buy in a hardware store. Go to specialist companies who deal in this kind of thing.

    Would you know of any specialist companies as I haven't a clue where to look...

    Google Paraguard AG. You may have to contact a UK company to find out where to get it in Ireland.

    Try any of the natural stone suppliers you can get it off them.

    Is this needed? Did the front off our house in the same stone so it would be good to know the benefit of the sealant... cheers
