SHUTTER COUNT (HELP)

    Hi,
    i was wondering if anyone could explain the shutter count result i got from a jpg?

    Detected Camera model : NEX-5N
    Shutter actuations made up to file 27-02-14.JPG: 7031682
    | | | | Sony_Tag9050_0x0032 = 130
    | | | | Sony_Tag9050_0x0033 = 75
    | | | | Sony_Tag9050_0x0034 = 107
    (65536 * 107) + (256 * 75) + 130 = 7031682

    Is 7031682 the total of shutter counts?

    In video, it is recording a ton of low quality photos and binning them together.... ie. 24fps or 30fps @ 450k per frame.
    So if you done some video probably that's why its so high.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I was actually going to buy the camera secondhand and I asked the seller to email me the latest jpg taken from the camera and then uploaded onto tools.science which provided me with a shutter count.
    Maybe by sending it as an attachment in an email it has lost data?

    I discussed it with another Nex-5n user and they got 11, 000 (they also use it for video)

    Update:
    I got the seller to upload two jpg's to Wetransfer.
    I downloaded the files and then upload the jpgs to tools.science which produced the results above

    That's not a bad count at all. I took about 2K shots in 3 weeks on holidays, just to compare :P
