    I need to travel from limerick to carlisle...what is the most efficient, direct way to do this? Any ideas appreciated.

    You could fly from Shannon to Edinburgh Airport by Aer Lingus. There are direct trains from Edinburgh Waverley station to Carlisle.

    I don't know if this is the most efficient, and I don't know how you get from Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh Waverley station (taxi maybe?).
