Medical Card

    I have a FULL Medical Card & I am asking can I use it, if need be, when I am away ie holidays in Dublin or go to a GP totally out of my HSE area & get my prescription on it? It has never happened that I needed a doctor urgently but I would like to know. Thanks!!

    Yes you can. I had to use mine on holiday last year. You sign a form in the new practice's office declaring that you are out of you local area.
