Biofinity end of month comfort

    Hi All,

Does Biofinity stay comfortable till the end of the month or do you notice a gradual deterioration towards the end? I currently use Acuvue Oasys, which is 2 weekly. It has its problems; lens rip easily and require rewetting drops, but those that don't rip still feel like new at the end of the two week period.

I'm looking at giving Biofinity a go, so those of u who use it, please advise as to end of month comfort.

    Thank you :)

I recently switched from Ciba Vision Air Optix to Acuvue Oasys but have no experience of the Biofinity. I much prefare the Acuvue, they're the best lenses I've had so far. Yes at the end of the day they occasionally need eye drops but I'm afraid that's true for most people with most lenses. The lenses are thinner than the air optix but I've had no problems with them ripping.

I was switching lenses every three months at one stage looking for the 'perfect' lens that you can wear for 18 hours and never have to use eye drops. I'm afraid no lenses are perfect, but oasys are the best I've found for the moment (till I can afford laser surgery :pac:)

    Just my 2c anyway.

I've just gone through a one month trial of biofinity. It stayed comfortable till the end of the month, although I did use rewetting drops like I always have. I'm satisfied with the lens.

Lenses behave differently on each person, so what works for one person will not necessarily work for another. Eyes are different, lenses are different and peoples individual needs are different so it takes time to get the best lens.

Acuvue would argue "fresher is better"
So a two weekly should give better comfort than a monthly.
    This is one dimensional argument.

You have some issues with oasys so try something else to see if you don't need comfort drops.

End of day comfort at the end of the month can be an issue for some people with Silicone based monthly lenses.
To minimise this rub you lenses every night, rinse your lenses and always use fresh solution.
