    I suppose the latest Wii model, the mini, prepared the ground with no Wifi or online component. Shame though.

    Some games with on disc/cartridge DLC will be affected with the DLC unavailable once this closes. There's a few people at least trying to get save games together that unlock all this stuff so it's not lost forever.

    oooh does this affect Guitar Hero and Rock Band download content?
    I best get my vWii downloading just in case

    Isn't there a utility that lets you download any title from the Wii download service? Would at least allow for archiving of all of the various files.

    So the Wii and the DS used Gamespy as the backend for it's multiplayer which presumably is why this is happening now.
