Hi i got a fine today for parking in a disabled bay in college now i have a disabled parking card and it had fallen on to the seat if you looked in to the car you could see the card.

Now i park in the same spot every day and you would not forget my car its the only one in the college. I was not clamped and there is allays cars clamped so the guy that gave me the fine knows i have the card. As it says parking in the bays with out the card will get you clamped.

It says on the fine that non payment of the fine will result in my car being clamped an other day and a release fee as well as the fine. What should i do should i call them up or just trow the fine in the bin.

Talk to the college authorities, they are NCPS's employer and would be able to get them to waive the 'fine' if appropriate.

Also 3rd level institutions require students to sign acceptance of their rules and regulations so check your student handbook and course registration documents to see if it is a condition of registration that you consent to such penalties.

What actually does happen if you don't pay a private company ticket?

Cut 6 ncps off my car last few years , told them I have no idea about any clamps just found a sticker in my window and requested they co e out and remove said sticker as it is there without my permission obstructing my driving lol

They Did threaten me but as I told them, they have no proof I removed any clamp and I will take legal action for harassment due to all these stickers I've had on my glass lol

Ncps, avoca parking and euro car parking that service phibsboro car park lol

    Clowns !!

As for these random pay machines put in by Lithuanian gangs etc even more comical.

Oh btw, if you are removing one call the gardai if ncps show up and tell them you are being verbally abused whilst trying to remove an illegally fitted device

Don't pay it. Make sure you display it clearly in future. If it says parking in the bay without a card will get you clamped then I don't see the problem. You have a card. If it says parking in this bay whilst not having payed a previous fine will get you clamped then they may clamp you but that would be assholery. Why did they not clamp you the previous time out of interest?

Write to the company stating that you have a card but the warden must not have seen it. Also include a copy of the card and request that the ticket be withdrawn.

At least start nice. It can go downhill later if you want.

    is this from experience?
Can they apply for a civil summons cos I presume they can't prosecute you like the council can through the courts.

They can but they won't. Clampers avoid court like the plague.

No, they can't. Although their employer, the college, could make life hard for the OP. Like a couple of people already said, I'd display the pass properly in future and move on.

This, and suggest that you will not be paying a ticket because of a mistake on their part. Ignoring it may lead to problems, and paying it is nuts because you were entitled to be there. The above action puts you in the best possible light as you've addressed and explained the position to the best of your ability.

I decided to start nice and rang them up to explain the misunderstanding and as there was no clamp put on the car there will be no fine to pay and just told to be more careful to make sure the card is displayed when parking on the dashboard.

So at least it went easier then i thought and there is no fear that they might try to clamp me some other day i was parking there.
