    Hi,
I posted here some time back about a build for a decent pc for my photography needs.
I havent a clue about computers. Is there anyone on here that i could discuss my needs or help me out.
    I am from Wexford.
I am running my laptop through a good monitor Nec Pa27 but my laptop is struggling to work through photoshop.
I am looking for a good fast pc with an easy way to back up my work as i go along.
Anyone out there that can help ?
    Cheers,
    Steoc

Regarding the title of the thread, building your own PC is always a btter option as the mark up in retail stores is ridiculous. Putting a PC together is almost as easy as putting together Lego, you can find HUNDREDS of guides to building them on Youtube.

Photoshop is pretty CPU heavy and most laptops have mobile CPUs. These aren't the greatest CPUs on the market and they may be incapable of running the problem efficiently.

The best solution would be to build a PC, make sure you have a decent GPU and CPU and a SSD for your OS and picture editing software.

If you're need help getting a parts list. Fill out the ticket and Im sure somebody (BloodBath) will put something together on hwvs. :)
