    Hi,

I am trying to setup a cctv camera to view on my mobile.
To do this I need to do port forwarding on a mobile broadband router.
Do any of the mobile broadband operators allow this.

I had a meteor device and posted on the meteor forum to get information. They posted one or two links for setting it up on the internet.
The Huawei router they have allows port forwarding so spent the last week tearing my hair out to get it working.

Rang their customer service and was told their network doesn' t support it. So that was a few days wasted.

I don' t want to buy another device and find out after that port forwarding isn' t allowed.
So want to find out if other operators support it

    Thanks for any help.

The operator doesnt need to support it, its the device that performs it. They can block ports if they so wish but AFAIK none are right now.

3G/4G connections aren't nailed up, they're on demand and as such arent suitable for inbound traffic like requests to a DVR. Even with everything setup right you'd still have trouble connecting.

Get a fixed line or fixed wireless solution instead.

Not sure you understand. It pretty much wont work. The modem will drop its link to the tower and you wont be able to view it remotely. Also it wont have a static IP so you'd need a PC onsite to run dynDNS as its doubtful the modem would allow that.

    3G isnt a viable solution.
